Folate, vitamin B₁₂, and vitamin B₆ offer cardiovascular support by promoting healthy endothelial function and the conversion of homocysteine to methionine in the synthesis of S-adenosyl-methionine, an important methyl donor used in methylation reactions. Methylation involves the transfer of a methyl group (CH3) from one molecule to another. This methyl group acts as a signal throughout the body, regulating genetic expression and cellular function.
